General Overview: Zeus desires the world to be as it was in the Olympian glory days. An empire of renown the likes of which history could never forget. Power, authority, and justice to name a few things that get Zeus out of bed. Historically of ill-temper, patience has developed over the intervening 2,000 years. Zeus believes his word is the law, and to violate his word, or your own, is a sign you are untrustworthy and to be eyed with suspicion.

Flaws/Weaknesses

Not So Immortal After All. Zeus has recently discovered that he can die. That storm of reality has rolled through, leaving him devastated on a deep level. In the storm’s wake, nothing is where it should be and all that he had built is laid low. Tired and defeated, he is still assessing the scope of the damage.

Tread Carefully. After millennia of being the god everyone treads carefully around, the tables have turned. Zeus suffers from a sense of over-responsibility, his normal confidence hampered by extreme caution, his decisiveness swerved towards hesitation. As the axis of Olympus, Zeus being off-kilter affects more than just him, adding an additional level of stress and responsibility to one already feeling the strain.

In Flux. Zeus is experiencing a period of internal shift. Actions by those he loves and cares for most that fly in the face of all he is, all he has known, has caused him to stop and consider his actions with a long-view of the future and what he is leaving behind. In the process of remaking his kingdom, Zeus is remaking himself, along with all the discovery and difficulty that change brings with it.

Brother's Keeper. Because of the immense responsibility of the Realms in their care, the Brothers oathed to become caretakers of the other's power and domain in the event of death, debilitation or abdication. As a result, the Brothers are bound to care for and respect each other's Realms knowing, should the worst occur, they could be charged with their care.

Skills / Abilities

Immortality. Technically immortal. Immune to the effects of aging, cannot die by any conventional means, and is immune to all known mortal diseases and infections. As a deity, they are able to teleport, or "pop" anywhere in the mortal plane with a few exceptions, the God Floors of the GC HQ are mystically protected, so no teleporting to or in between them, anything on the non-mortal plane, i.e., the Underworld, Atlantis, and the Void, are non-accessible without a guide.

Mother Tongue. As the bridge between the mortal world and the divine, they speak all languages mortals do, even the long dead ones.

Sky King. Zeus is the ruler of the Sky and all that falls within its sphere of influence. Everything above the surface of the ground, with the exception of the seas and oceans themselves, he has control over. This extends to literal control over winds and storms as well as to things that affect the living mortal world. Where the land above lies surrounded by water, such as islands, Zeus’ powers are lessened. Far from shore or large bodies of water, Zeus reigns supreme.

King's Prerogative. To better administrate the care of the Three Realms, the Kings alone are allowed passage between each other's kingdoms without meeting the requirements of entry. This allows the Brothers to meet as needed or in secret to ensure all in their care is tended and tended well.

Seal of the King. Each of the Three Kings has a seal that binds spoken oaths to their Realms. Oaths sworn before the Three Kings and sealed by them are inviolable. Anyone that breaks oaths so sworn and sealed must suffer penalties not just in one realm, but in each realm, the penalties served consecutively and ordered by the one whose sealed oath was broken. The Kings may also use these seals alone, binding oaths to their individual realms, as needed.

Shapeshifting. Zeus appears to mortals and immortals alike as a 6’8 caucasian male, with the tanniest tan you’ve seen this side of Maui. As one of the Three Kings who share this ability, he can take the shape and appearance of any human or animal he wishes.

Eagle Eye. Utilizing the keen vision of the great birds that are his symbol, Zeus has the ability to see what is occurring near and far. He cannot hear details of conversations or detect motives with this power, but he can view events - small and large, personal or public - and determine if he needs to assign someone to investigate or interfere more directly.

Lightning In A Bottle. There’s intense, and then there’s Zeus. The Sky King’s presence is both intimidating and electrifying, something that Zeus has learned to capitalize on during his millennia of ruling and arbitrating the struggles between gods and men. In ages past, gods and mortals alike tread carefully due to his volatility. Over the years, his tendency to strike-first-care-later has mellowed. All the firepower is still there, it’s just bottled. Word to the wise: bottles can be opened. Mighty. Zeus is the strongest, physically, among the Olympians. He doesn’t need it on his resume. They know. This is for the rest of you.

Flash Judgement. Zeus has the uncanny ability to tell when he is being lied to, reading deceit like a current in the face and body language of the one speaking. Mortals cannot defend against this ability. Immortals have some chance of getting away with the lie, based on their own willpower and ability to weather Zeus’ intensity. If they get away with it though, and he discovers, they’ll wish they were mortal. Mortals can die.

Strike Twice. Everyone says that lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place. That urban legend doesn’t apply here. If anything, if Zeus has already struck a target with a bolt, he no longer has to aim to hit the target a second time if it has not moved. The lightning homes in on itself in a reverse chain effect, allowing the next bolt thrown to hit with unerring accuracy without Zeus having to focus on it, leaving him free to shift to his next target and still attack the first.

In A Flash. Zeus has the ability to move at lightning speed within the range of his visual distance, seeming to teleport. There is lightning bleed when he does this and he must be careful not to do so around those that might be vulnerable to the damage.

Possessions

Normal Daily Wear. Zeus wars the finest in Italian made suits for all business activities. Anything less than $2,000 American Dollars is not worth Zeus’ time.

Alternate Daily Wear. Outside of business hours Zeus wears the traditional toga for which he is referenced in multiple stories and films.

Magical Artifacts/Weapons:

Thunderbolt. Zeus was gifted the Thunderbolt by the Cyclopses during the Titanomachy. This bolt is located on Zeus’ person at all times and can take the form of whatever object Zeus wishes. A cane, a watch, a belt buckle. Hephaestus has created a few copies over the years that Zeus’ can use for show, but the historical weapon of the God of Thunder is never away from Zeus for fear of it being stolen. There is stored power in the copies made by Hephaestus, however, without care and training, attempting to hurl even one of the copies will result in, at least, an impotent outcome or, at worst, severe injury to the one that thought they would “play God”.

Diamond Scythe. Zeus possesses the Diamond Scythe that was created by Gaia and given to Cronus for the purpose of slaying his Primordial Grandfather Uranus. Upon the incarceration of Cronus after the Titanomachy, Zeus keeps the Diamond Scythe in a secure location known only to him.

Golden Dice Keychain. Zeus won this plastic keychain from a claw machine inside of The Amazing Pizza Machine, during a Berkshire Hathaway Stockholder Convention in Omaha, NE.

King’s Mark. After the Titanomachy and the defeat of Kronos, the three Brothers took their father’s ring and gave it to Hephaestus to give to his forgefires. From it, three symbols were forged – an Eagle, a Fish, a Serpent – given to each Brother, a symbol of the subjects of his Realm and of their shared charge to care for this world.

Introduction by Michael Z. Ryan

Greetings, mortal. You’ve come at an intriguing time. Olympus is back!

But you knew that, didn’t you?

You want to know why. I can feel it, the question. It screams at the mountaintops “Answer me!”

For once in a very long time, an answer you shall have.

Olympus has returned because you need us. We are the ones who you come to. In the dark. In hushed tones. You cry out for it. It’s not like you’re getting answers from anyone else. You know it, they know it, and most importantly, I know it.

The Olympus Administration is here, for you. We can do anything you need. With just a little bit of…soul, it’s all yours.

I sense that while you’re here, and let’s be honest, you came to me, you want to know what Zeus can do. Well, it’s my name at the top of the list, right? Above all others, it’s me. You could click on anyone else, but it was Zeus first wasn’t it? I know. You know, in your heart, what I’m capable of. Sure, I have a history. I have a reputation. Women want to be with me. Men want to be me. Why?

Because I fucking earned it.

I make things happen. I get things done. I brought Olympus up from ash. Make no mistake, from the bottom to the top: Zeus.

The rest of Olympus wants what I have. Let them come. I’m here. I’ve been here, I will always BE here.

I fought when they sat idle.

I won when they said it should be them.

I have made manifest the POWER of Olympus.

They covet because they cannot DO.

That’s why you’re here. You want what I am. You want the power I embody. You want to be a King.

Sure, the Olympus Administration has made some policy changes. You’ll see we aren’t what we were, but better. New, modern, adaptable. One thing remains: ZEUS

And Zeus is King.

When you come at the King, you’d best not miss.
