Skills / Abilities

Immortality. Technically immortal. Immune to the effects of aging, cannot die by any conventional means, and is immune to all known mortal diseases and infections. As a deity, they are able to teleport, or "pop" anywhere in the mortal plane with a few exceptions, the God Floors of the GC HQ are mystically protected, so no teleporting to or in between them, anything on the non-mortal plane, i.e., the Underworld, Atlantis, and the Void, are non-accessible without a guide.

Babble-speak. Can communicate in all languages and dialects.

Feast or Famine. As Goddess of Grain and the Harvest, she’s worshiped for giving the gift of growing your own to mankind. Demeter holds the power to give society abundance in their harvest or keep the fields barren for years, leaving entire populations to starve.

Persuasion. As the Goddess of Sacred law, she’s a shrewd negotiator. She knows that though sacred laws cannot be broken, they can be bent to fit any scenario. She has the ability to convince both mortal and god alike, to see her side of an argument.

Limited Shapeshifting. Because she’s spent so many years among the mortals, she feels more comfortable in their form. When among the gods, she wears her immortality with pride.

Possessions

Normal Daily Wear: When she is in the courtroom, she prefers wearing the highest quality of business attire in the best name-brand heels. These will be tailored to her exact measurements.

Alternate Wear: When at home or attending her garden, she still prefers high quality, comfy name-brand clothes. She loves wearing the softest, loose sweaters and yoga pants or jeans.

Magical Artifacts/Weapons:

Lighted Compact – Demeter has a torch that is always lit. A reminder of the months spent searching for her missing daughter. As a way to keep her eternally-lit torch with her, she carries a lighted compact. Though it looks like a typical mirrored compact, the light will shine like a beacon even in the darkest places.

SALAD – SAcred LAw Database. An extensive archival system with access to every law, both mortal and divine, known to have ever existed.

Historical Synopsis

Demeter is the 2nd born child of the Titans, Kronus and Rhea. She is the Goddess of the Harvest and Grain, Sacred Law and Fertility of the Earth. She has the power to feed the world or starve them into submission. She is the mother of Persephone, abducted wife of Hades. Each winter, she mourns the loss of her child to the Underworld.[1]

Introduction

Ahhh yes, I am back, my loves! I know I have been missing for a while, in which I will be able to fill you in about soon. I know I took in a lot of clientele for the GC law office and just kinda left… but you know, it was that time of year that I just needed to get out into nature and stretch my legs for a while.

I am sure my children will be most pleased with my return, along with my very devoted executive assistant, Aegis. I do hope Dionysus comes by the OA building soon to bring me some of his fine wine since as you know, I do have a taste for the finer things in life.

So my beautiful mortals, you shall hear more from me soon!
