Athena is the goddess of war and wisdom, she is currently voiced of Rainbow Brubaker.

Know Your Goddess

Height: 5”5 in the mortal world and home in Olympus she is 5”10

Weight: 165 lbs. in the mortal world. She is muscular with an athletic build. In the OA she is closer to 200 lbs. She is tall and more slender than her mortal appearance.

Hair Color: Beautiful blonde hair that she either wears put up or loose around her face.

Facial Hair: N/A

Eyes: Bright blue eyes with gray flakes around the iris. When she is very happy, her eyes look almost turquoise. When she is angered, her eyes become liquid white hell fire.

Distinguishing Features: Although she has fought in many battles, she rapidly regenerates when injured. This has allowed her to not have any scars. She does have a tattoo on her left shoulder. The tattoo is a shield with a sword and spear crossed in an X behind it. She has this to guide her and keep her from losing sight of what she cares about most, humanity.

Her appearance changes when she is on the mortal realm from when she in the OA. She does this to blend in with the mortals better. She can change her appearance as she chooses.

Parents: Zeus and the ocean nymph/Titan Metis, the mother of deep thought, wisdom and magical cunning. Some say her father was really the Titan Pallas, the father of battle and warcraft (who was also a famous spear-thrower). For many years, it was believed that Athena had no mother, as she was “born” fully grown and armed from Zeus’ skull. But that was because he turned the pregnant Metis into a fly and swallowed her to keep her from bearing a child that would overthrow him. This gave Zeus a colossal headache. He asked Prometheus to hold his head as Hephaestus cleaved it open and Athena stepped out.

Half-brothers: Ares, Hebe and Hephaestus (Hera); Apollo (Leda); Hercules (Asteria); Dionysus (Semele); The Centaurs (Gaia); Hermes (Maia); Perseus (Danae).

Half-sisters: Artemis (Leda); Hekate (Asteria); Persephone (Demeter); The Graces/Charities (Euanthe); Eris (Hera); The Muses (Mnemosyne); Helen of Troy

Spouse: None. She refused to marry Hephaestus.

Children: Erichthonius is her adopted son. (When Athena rebuffed Hephaestus, his semen fell upon Gaia, and she bore this child.)

Growing tired of her previous profession, Athena decided it was time for a change. She wanted to make more of a difference in the mortal world. She wanted something more fulfilling and less mundane. She became an agent for the FBI in the BAU (behavioral analysis unit). She completed all the required training with ease and found that she very much enjoyed certain aspects of her job. Not only did she love catching the “bad guys”, she was very, very good at it. The only problem: she did not enjoy the bureaucracy aspect of the job, and her stubborn nature and smart mouth did not always sit well with those who deemed themselves to be in charge. She also did not care for being told what cases they would take and what cases they wouldn’t. Instead of clashing with the mortals over their differences, she decided to leave the BAU and start her own private investigation business. She is still on retainer with the BAU as a consultant and she helps them when they need her expertise. Now she is free to take any case that she wants and to solve them her own way. Her PI business is primarily based out of York, Pennsylvania. The central location between Baltimore and New York is perfect for her work. She investigates cases ranging from simple cases that require surveillance, all the way to missing persons cases, and even full-blown undercover work. When working with the BAU, she travels throughout the United States. Sometimes foreign travel is also required.

Athena has two residences. Her first is her home in the OA with her family. Coming home to them is part of what keeps her connected. She loves her family dearly and enjoys spending time with them. Her other home is located in York, Pa. She lives in a beautiful 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 3,569 sq. ft condo on Stream View Lane. She has a home office as well as an office in the city for convenience.

Personal Information

General Overview: Athena is the Goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, strategic warfare, the arts, crafts, skill and war. Because she is all these things, she has the ability to “wear many hats”. She is versatile and can adapt to any situation quickly. She feels at home whether she is in battle, creating something new or helping others. She has dual sides to her personality. On one side, she is a tough as nails, stubborn, doesn’t take crap from anyone personality. However, that does not make her unlikeable by any means. On the other side, she is compassionate, loyal, loving, smart, cunning and wise. Often the mortals find themselves drawn to her bubbly and loving nature. She is the best friend that you have always wanted, and the enemy you pray never to have. Her loyalty and integrity make her the first to aid a friend in need. She has a strong need to help others and that need keeps her going, even after others have long since given up. She is dedicated to helping humanity and saving the mortals from both each other and even themselves whenever possible Even though she is often intimidating, she has a soft spot for the mortals and her family. She tries to be understanding of the mortals and gives them a bit more understanding of their faults than she does the other immortals. Humanity is such a fickle and short-lived thing, beings for what lived for millennia should know better. She also dials down her appearance and attributes when in the mortal world, so she can blend-in and interact better with them. She can be quick to anger at times, but tries not to be. She has a low tolerance for ignorance. Athena does love to have fun and likes to joke around with those she is close too. She is very sarcastic, and her sarcasm can sometimes be misunderstood or seen as being funny or bitchy. Her main flaw is her need to help the mortal world and her stubborn nature that never allows her to walk away. Although sometimes she would like to say to hell with it, she can’t seem to make herself give up.

Nicknames: Thena (pronounces Theena) used by her friends and those who are close to her. Other known aliases are Pallas Athena (Athena the Spear-Thrower); Athena Nike (Athena the Victorious); Athena Parthenos (Athena the Virgin); Athena Promachos (Athena on the Front Line [of Battle]); Athena Polias (Athena of the City/Civilization); Athena Poliouchos (Athena Patron Saint); Athena Ergane (Athena the Spider/the Weaver)

Likes: Spending time with her family and friends, music, helping others, being a PI, planning and using her strategic skills to thwart the “bad guys” and engaging in battle.

Dislikes: Arrogance, ignorance, cruelty, misogynist, assholes and incompetence.

Flaws / Weaknesses

Skills / Abilities

Immortality. Technically immortal. Immune to the effects of aging, cannot die by any conventional means, and is immune to all known mortal diseases and infections. As a deity, they are able to teleport, or "pop" anywhere in the mortal plane with a few exceptions, the God Floors of the GC HQ are mystically protected, so no teleporting to or in between them, anything on the non-mortal plane, i.e., the Underworld, Atlantis, and the Void, are non-accessible without a guide.

Babble-speak. Athena can communicate in all languages and dialects.

Goddess of Wisdom and War. As a Goddess of wisdom and war, Athena’s strategic planning and abilities in battle are unmatched and unsurpassable. She is only second to Zeus himself. She is superior in both armed and unarmed combat. She even surpasses her half-brother Ares in strategic military operations. She is a master at using the sword, shield and spear. She is powerful and stronger than the average Olympian. She can lift around 35 tons.

Limited Shapeshifting. Athena appears as an ordinary human when on the mortal plane. This permits her to blend in and conduct day-to-day business with mortals. When in immortal battle, she reverts to her natural deified state. She becomes taller, leaner and more beautiful. She can change her appearance and make herself invisible to mortal eyesight.

Illusions. Athena can create illusions and hide objects from mortal sight. She can also make herself invisible to mortal sight.

Flight. Athena has the ability to fly when she chooses.

Personal Attire

Normal Daily Wear: On a normal day, Athena wears business casual clothing. Mostly consisting of comfortable dress pants, a solid color button down shirt and a blazer to hide her weapons. Her outfit is completed with black combat boots that are spit-shined.

Alternate Dress Wear: Athena can sometimes be found in jeans and a tank-top when not in her business attire. She also changes her look based upon the case that she is working on. She has become a master at blending in with both the people around her and her surroundings. However, she still has her full plated battle armor, golden helm, and special shields. She also retains an assortment of both melee and firepower at both of her residences and her office, just in case.

Magical Artifacts/Weapons

Gorgonea. These snakehead amulets persuade mortals to abandon their transgressions and choose a better path by reminding them of the consequences of bad behavior. One is prominently displayed on Athena’s shield, and it makes a terrible sound when she’s in battle.

Aegis of Zeus. Athena wears her father’s goatskin vest into battle. With the head of a gorgon on it, it renders Athena immune to physical harm and protects her from the evil intentions of others.

Flaming Chariot. This chariot enables Athena to travel the world at the speed of light.

Helmet and Spear. Athena’s favorite battle gear symbolizes that wisdom and strategy are key to victory. As long as they are together, she is destined to be victorious.

Historical Synopsis

Long ago, it was foretold that Zeus would have a son who would take his power and overtake him, just as Zeus had done to his own father, Cronus. Fearing this to be true, after he had lain with Metis, he swallowed her whole to keep her from becoming pregnant. What Zeus didn’t know was that Metis had already conceived. Athena grew and one day when Zeus had an unbearable headache, Zeus had Hephaistos split his head with an ax. From the wound, Athena emerged in all her glory. She was fully grown and dressed in battle armor.

Athena was unique from the other deities. She had a sense of justice and a cunning wit. She was a Goddess not to be trifled with, and first to avenge those who suffered due to others’ wrongdoings. She would march headfirst into battle. “She is known most specifically for her strategic skill in warfare and is often portrayed as a companion of heroes and is the patron goddess of heroic endeavor” ( She was well known for her willingness to aid others in need. This was proved when she helped Hercules, Perseus, and Achilles, as well as when she fought in the battle of Troy.

Athena was Zeus’ favorite child and was afforded liberties that the other deities were not. One such liberty is the use of Zeus’ lightning bolt. Even to this day, she remains the favorite child of Zeus and the patron of the people. She will go into battle to avenge others and fight alongside those in need. Her strong moral compass and integrity help her seek justice for those who need it.[1][2]

Introduction Written by Rainbow Brubaker

Greetings everyone. I am the Goddess Athena. The Goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law, and justice, strategic warfare, the arts, crafts, skill, and war. I am happy to announce that I am returning to the mortal world to help keep justice and order. Zeus knows you desperately need it. Your world has run amuck with chaos and terrible evils. I am returning from Olympus to render aid to you and your world.

I will be working as a private investigator and will be keeping a very close eye on things. I thought it was time for a tough, strategic, wise and likable PI. Even with the current state that you mortals have seemed to put yourselves in, I am excited to see what the world looks like now. Rest assured my fellow Gods, Goddesses and mortals alike, I will once again come to your aid whenever you are in need. Of course, I will be happy to charge headfirst into battle for you too, as long as we have a plan. It’s a dirty job, but someone must do it.

I do so enjoy spending time with you mortals and all the excitement that your world has to offer. It seems that there are always things to do, fun to be had and asses to kick. As I am sure you all know of my past conquests and know of my abilities, you need not remind me of them, I was there, after all. However, if you must reminisce of the past, at least make it entertaining. I have won many battles and do not wish to die of boredom now.

I am always up for a good adventure or quest to enact justice for someone who has been wronged. As long as you are competent and do not anger me, we will have a great time. I look forward to our many adventures, seeing what we create and what battles we can win together.
