Residence

Apollo has residence on floor 32 of the God Complex, but because he wants to get away from his dad, he stays in a penthouse above one of his clubs in New York City.

Personal Information

General Overview: Apollo, twin to Artemis, is the son of Zeus and exists in a sort of state of dependency with his father, unlike his sister Artemis. Apollo's various abilities are all dependent on each other, and if he loses one, he loses them all.

Nicknames: Olly to Artemis and Pollo is his stage name

Likes: Music, all of it; Sunbathing and absorbing the rays of the sun; Competition; Performing on the Stage.

Dislikes: Mortals who are disrespectful in their words and actions; Bad music; Cloudy weather

Flaws / Weaknesses

Truth Teller. Apollo cannot lie and must always tell the truth.

Overcast. Apollo is at his strongest in direct sunlight. Without direct sunlight, his powers are dampened. This can be from overcast, at night, or indoors, wherever there is no direct sunlight he is weakened. Artificial UV made by mortals will not strengthen Apollo.

Blind Seer. Paintings where the Oracles are blindfolded so that prophecy can be read true have their origins in Apollo’s psychic gifts. For Apollo to have a chance to read the future, he must stare directly into the sun. This renders him blind so that the visions can be seen clearly with the inner eye. This is why he does not like to do prophecy unless the situation is dire. This is also the root of why the Oracles were sequestered after delivering prophecy - Apollo has to keep to himself until sunrise the next day, allowing the darkness of night to cool him to normal.

Skills / Abilities

Immortality. Technically immortal. Immune to the effects of aging, cannot die by any conventional means, and is immune to all known mortal diseases and infections. As a deity, they are able to teleport, or "pop" anywhere in the mortal plane with a few exceptions, the God Floors of the GC HQ are mystically protected, so no teleporting to or in between them, anything on the non-mortal plane, i.e., the Underworld, Atlantis, and the Void, are non-accessible without a guide.

Mother Tongue. As the bridge between the mortal world and the divine, they speak all languages mortals do, even the long dead ones.

Healing Touch & Touch of Death. As the god of healing and medicine, Apollo can heal the wounds of mortals. As the god of disease, Apollo can infect any mortal with any kind of illness or ailment.

Foresight. Being the god of the oracles, Apollo was granted the ability to see moments in the future. He uses this power sparingly and does not communicate what he sees because the power is so draining.

Heliokinesis. Apollo draws power from the sun and can harness it as a weapon, but at much lower levels than the actual levels of the sun. He can use this power in darkness as well, but its strength is diminished as with all of his other powers when out of direct sunlight. In order to heal, Apollo must be in direct sunlight.

Personal Attire

Normal Daily Wear: Unbuttoned button-up shirt with no shirt underneath and jeans.

Alternate Dress Wear: A fine pressed navy blue suit and bowtie.

Magical Artifacts/Weapons

Bow of Apollo. Apollo wears a pendant around that becomes his famed golden bow created by Hephaestus. His arrows of choice are made of silver.

Golden Sword. Apollo was born with a golden sword in his hand, which he now wears as a ring on his pinky until he needs it.

Historical Synopsis

Born on the island of Delos to Zeus and Leto, Apollo is the god of many things including the sun, music, medicine, disease, prophecy and truth.

He is a slayer of several great mythological beasts, including Python, an act that led to the establishment of what is now the modern Olympics.

Apollo is also an oracular deity, considered the patron God of Delphi and the most Hellenic of the Pantheon due to his varied and often contradictory gifts. He was gifted foresight for his humble nature, but has never spoken a single word to another of what he sees, preferring to let the future unravel as it is intended.[1] [2][3]

Introduction Written by Scribe

You may be wondering where I have been hiding for the last few months. Well, I’ve been busy. I’ve expanded Delos to thirteen different states in the United States and in three other countries, including Holland and England. I’ve been performing a lot more and even went on a worldwide tour as Pollo. A lot of people say I remind them of the 90’s boy bands a la Nick Carter and co. I’ll take it as a compliment.

I’m done with my tour now and my expansion, so I’ve been slumming it in New York City at my club with the mortals. I needed some space from dad, so I’ve decided to go out on my own without him for a bit. Who knows, maybe I’ll be back to the God Complex eventually, but for now I’m enjoying my time being voted the Most Eligible Bachelor in New York City.
