As part of this communal home, Adrestia--who goes by the name “Tia” to blend in-- has chores that rotate every day. Some days she’s cleaning. Some days she’s buying groceries. Some days she’s cooking for the residents. The only duty that she has that remains consistent is rent payment since the “generous benefactor” of the house always sends the checks to her. At least, that’s what she tells all her housemates. The house’s payments actually come out of her personal account that she has saved up for over the centuries. Adrestia doesn’t want to tell the other housemates that the money is actually hers because she wants to blend in and help fight the good fights,. Rich kids don’t really blend in, and people have a preconceived idea of them. So as far as everyone else knows, she grew up in your typical middle-class home and moved out the moment she became an adult.

Most of the time, she speaks her mind. If you disagree with her or are offended by what she says, you don’t have to hang out with her, but she sure as Tartarus won’t take it back or apologize… even if she turns out to be wrong. Many men have told her that she would be prettier if she smiled more. '''Extreme Vigilance.''' Adrestia rarely rests. As long as the mortal world remains imperfect, there will always be the need for change. The Revolt Project takes up all of Adrestia’s time and energy, and her commitment to it is unwavering. Others chide her for not taking time for herself, but as Adrestia sees it, none of us are free until all of us are free, and that means working around the clock. This extreme vigilance means that Adrestia is sometimes out of touch with those that aren’t fighting for their lives or some cause, and she often tires herself out to the point that she has to take a break to renew her own inner fight.

 +
'''On The Fringe.''' Adrestia is the prototype of the Age of Aquarius: the rebel, ahead of her time, out on the fringe. As a result, she spends a great deal of time alone and often finds that people have difficulty understanding her. She always finds rapport with those among the causes for which she fights, and her avant-garde understanding of issues and changing social tides makes her dear to those she fights alongside. But to the rest of the world yet to get the memo? Adrestia is a stranger.

'''Tactless.''' Adrestia calls it as she sees it. Revolution isn’t about small talk and niceties. The time for that is over. By the time Adrestia gets involved, it’s all business, and business is best conducted straight to the point and with as little bullshit as possible. As a result, people often find Adrestia’s method of expressing herself grating and overly blunt. To that Adrestia has a perfectly blunt response: get the hell over it.

'''Immortality.''' is immortal. Immune to the effects of aging, cannot die by any conventional means, and is immune to all known mortal diseases and infections. As a deity, they are able to teleport, or "pop" anywhere in the mortal plane with a few exceptions, the God Floors of the GC HQ ar more mystically protected, so no teleporting to or in between them, anything on the non-mortal plane, i.e., the Underworld, Atlantis, and the Void, are non-accessible without a guide.

'''Resourceful Fighter.''' Adrestia trained in almost every known martial art and knows how to use weapons of all shapes and sizes. Because revolution happens where you are with what is at hand, Adrestia has the ability to turn anything into a weapon. She is also an excellent instructor in the martial arts, able to match a student’s natural proficiencies with appropriate weapons so that the student progresses quickly in skill. She knows how to turn farmers into fighters and the weak into warriors.
 +
 +
'''Inspiring Leader.''' Adrestia has spent the last two thousand years assisting in every revolt, revolution, and resistance known to history. Though everyone believes her to be a myth, several accounts from soldiers, fighters, and activists over the years can recollect how she saved entire wars. Just as the side of good, justice, liberty, etc. was ready to give up, she would appear and rouse the passion and fight within the hearts of every person who heard her. Her very words and the confidence in them can take soldiers from exhausted to invigorated, filling them with energy beyond their means to continue to fight in the clutch. Those that are empowered by this ability, once the fight is done, fall into a deep exhaustion that must be healed as though it were a wound itself. But, the important thing is, they have attained the peace their rest will require.

 +
'''Voice Of The Revolution.''' In addition to the ability to use her voice to rouse those who are already fighting, Adrestia has the ability to use her voice to instigate revolt where it is needed. With a keen eye for injustice and abuse, Adrestia can speak words to an individual or group of individuals, pointing out where their power has been usurped in a relationship, a political situation, or other imbalance power arrangement. Her voice slips into the mind of the oppressed like a thorn beneath the skin, making the listener unable to bear the chains of their oppression any longer, encouraging them to take action and fight to change their situation.

'''Hunter’s Mark.''' Adrestia is known as “she who cannot be escaped” for a very good reason. She will always be able to find her quarry, no matter where they are or how fast they run. She does this by meditating, sending her awareness out of her physical body and into the universe. She is incapacitated during these meditations, however, so she must be somewhere safe with people she trusts. The information she gains from this is limited by the fact that mortals and immortals do not just stay put and wait for her to arrive. Adrestia might be able to discern when her quarry is now, but if they have left that locale once she arrives, she will have to repeat the process to get a new bead on her target.

'''Sword.''' This sword has been with Adrestia practically since birth. Her father trained her with it. She followed him and Nemesis into battle with it. Many have told her she should upgrade, but if it ain’t broke, why fix it? Adrestia has found a way to cleverly conceal her weapon in the handle of a picket sign… just in case it’s use is ever called for.

'''Alexander Hamilton’s Pistol.''' Adrestia watched over the American revolution, feeling a love for the thirteen colonies and their fight against King George’s bullshit. Alexander Hamilton became a particular favorite of hers—his dedication to the revolution was too strong to ignore. She firmly believes America wouldn’t exist without Hamilton. The day Aaron Burr shot him in New Jersey, Adrestia managed to sneak Hamilton’s pistol away as a sad momento. She would never understand why he threw away his shot.

'''Emmeline Pankhurst’s Coat.''' Adrestia had a special respect for the head of the suffragette movement. She wasn’t perfect--who is--but Emmeline Pankhurst and every other suffragette had a hell of a fight they had to survive. It certainly wasn’t the musical theatre number the Mary Poppins movie made it out to be. As part of their undermining of the patriarchy, suffragettes would sew pockets into their coats. It was a tiny thing, but pockets made a person independent and free back in the day. That's why they were only given to men and restricted from women. When Pankurst finally passed away in 1928, Pankurst left her coat with sewn-in pockets to Adrestia.

'''Gandhi’s Salt.''' Adrestia and Mahatma Gandhi rarely got along. She felt that he was a pushover because he refused to use violence to resist the British colonists who control India and its people. He could never convince her that violence didn’t always work and she could never convince him that, sometimes, it was necessary. Nevertheless, she joined him on the march that took him 241 miles to the coast. There, Gandhi encouraged the people of India to civilly disobey the British Empire by making salt from sea water rather than paying the tax that England had put into play. Gandhi gave Adrestia the first lump of natural salt he made to remind her that, sometimes, civil disobedience could get the job done. She’d kept it with her ever since.

Adrestia is the Greek Goddess of the Revolt. Along with her brothers Phobos and Deimos, she would follow her father, Ares, and Nemesis into battle, making sure the oppressed rose up to take their fates into their own hands. Little is known about her, which she chalks up to the favorite child--Eros. For some unfathomable reason, that little shit was always the center of the attention. Probably because he caused the most trouble. Being Nemesis’ apprentice didn’t help much; people always confuse two goddesses. Adrestia doesn’t necessarily care if people know her or not. Ugh. Fine.

I’m the Goddess of the Revolt. My dad’s Ares. I was once the squire to Nemesis, Goddess of Revenge. I used to say that she and my dad taught me everything I know, but in the last two thousand years, I’ve learned a lot without them. And it was the mortals who taught me.
 +
I used to think mortals were frail and weak because they grew old and died so easily. But I’ve come to learn that they are stronger than anyone really gives them credit for. They never really needed us—the Gods I mean. We disappeared long ago, and they moved on. They went on to start countries, overthrow dictatorships, create new forms of government. And they continue to learn and grow. Yeah, there are people who dig their heels in and refuse to change. But with every new generation, change is inevitable. And every change makes the world a better place with fewer injustices unserved and fewer wrongs righted.
 +
I admire these mortals. They may only live about 70 years or so, but most of them take the time they have and work their asses off to make a difference. If they don’t like a leader, they make that clear, they kick them out, and they find a new one. The Olympian’s could learn a thing or two from them. Afterall, we’ve had the same leader for the last two thousand years, and what did he get us?

I think it’s time for a complete overhaul. Starting at the top.
